What’s missing from the world?
Imagination Studio artists came together to create a visual response to this question. Their diverse ideas were incorporated into a larger scene designed by multidisciplinary artist Miri Villiard, which each artist helped bring to life.
As the artists added their completed canvas to the community mural, a rich and inspiring image was revealed.
What does the universe look like?
How do you see the sky? Guided by Miri Villiard, Imagination Studio artists forged their own paths in painting galaxies. Miri, a multidisciplinary artist with Indigenous and settler heritage, approaches art as a means to uplift underrepresented narratives.
This project highlights artists’ individuality, as each painting reveals their unique perspective of the cosmos above.
What is your passion that you boldly want to express?
Guided by an abstract painter and social justice activist, Seangarrison, Imagination Studio artists shared their passions through paint. Reflecting on the matters they care about most, artists were encouraged to create from their heart.
This collection of paintings exemplifies the vulnerability practiced by the artists, expressing their passions without hesitation or self-censorship.
What does your safe space look, feel, and sound like?
Guided by mixed media Indigenous artist Sam St. John, Imagination Studio artists captured the essence of their safe space by utilizing a range of materials. They contemplated how the environment affects their emotions and experiences, focusing on the spaces that make them feel most comfortable, content, and inspired.
These creative artworks aim to inspire the audience to explore their own cherished spaces.
